Patti's review of Tomeka's draft

Page history last edited by PBworks 15 years, 6 months ago

9/25, Tomeka - I haven't had a chance to comment yet, but expect a full response no later than tomorrow morning!... back to WeekFive

9/27 - I am so sorry I haven't gotten back to you before now - I'm dealing with a lot of personal issues that have become overwhelming...

I understand that the text I have to work with is very preliminary and I know that you will be adding a lot to it this week.  I think it would be helpful to look at Rich's page to help lay out a structure for the case study. As your text stand right now, I'm not sure what your purpose may be. It might help to decide what kind of case study you want to present - illustrative, narrative, descriptive for example and then block out sections of your paper from which your text can grow. I think you need a Purpose Statement, Background section, Conclusion/recommendations or any other type of sub -header that helps the reader understand your purpose.

I know I was stuck on my case study until I thought through what type of case study was the best fit for my case. What do you want your audience to know? Who is your audience - your style and voice should fit the intended audience. (I'm sure you know all this already - I just don't have much more to add until I see more of your text.

Hope this helps,

Patti
